You know well that the India is covered with see water by three sides. Hence making the transportation system easier, they are making their best effort to connect nearby places apart due to water in between. This created the idea of construction of under water metro tunnel.
Let me introduce that the first time Indian Engineers are going to create an under water metro tunnel in the Calcutta. This under water metro tunnel joint the Calcutta to Howrah. This canal will be in 520 meter depth from the sea level. It is being estimated that it will take near about two month to complete.
The new project, joining Calcutta to Howrah, will be the part of east-west metro. Two lines will be to the Central Metro Station. This projects, which runs from rajarhat to Howrah, from major railway station come down from Dalhousi Square.
Japan band of international co-operation(JBIC) and Indian railway will help economically to spread the metro train in two stage. It will cover the distance of 14.62 KM which contains 12 stations in which 6 will be outer side and another 6 will be inner side. This project cost is about 5000 crore. This project is probably complete at the end of 2018.
